Caring for ourselves and each other is a primary responsibility for human beings.

Sometimes we are so busy with our lives that we fail to see signs of despair, hopelessness, desperation and depression in those we work and live with.

Failure to recognize these signs could have life threatening consequences.  When we consider that 80% of suicides in Australia are men, it is important to develop an understanding of risks in our own lives and others.

"Talking to a  mate" is an essential part of restoring and maintaining a positive emotional state.

The Regional Men's Health Initiative offers workshop sessions on "Looking after your mates" for more information you can download a copy of the brochure from the Downloads and Links page.
